Annabel Brewster

Annabel Brewster, RN, is a dynamic entrepreneur, consultant, and community leader whose career spans healthcare, financial services, and civic engagement.

She founded MGN Healthcare Services in 2004, building it into a respected home health agency serving South Florida before divesting the business in 2016. Committed to continuous reinvention, she earned her nursing degree at age 55 to strengthen her clinical insight and enhance the agency’s operations.

Today, she leverages her extensive expertise to advise organizations across the home health industry on business strategy and operational excellence. Before transitioning into healthcare, Ms. Brewster built a distinguished career at Citibank/Citigroup and Standard & Poor’s, where she held leadership roles in operations, business development, anti-money laundering program design, and regional management. Her responsibilities ranged from overseeing a network of 14 Florida branches with more than $1 billion in deposits to directing international operations across the U.S. and Latin America.

She is also widely recognized for championing the advancement of women and minorities, many of whom have since risen to senior leadership roles in major corporations. Beyond her corporate and entrepreneurial achievements, Ms. Brewster has spent decades serving Africans in-the Diaspora, Caribbean, and African American communities throughout Florida. Her work includes youth development initiatives, university career-readiness programs, economic empowerment efforts, and civic engagement through voter education and mobilization.

She founded the Africa-USA Chamber of Commerce and, more recently, Africans in Action, Inc., reflecting her commitment to unity and community advancement. Her leadership has earned numerous accolades, including the Pillar of the Community Award in 2026. Ms. Brewster holds degrees in nursing, marketing, and finance, along with a Certified Care Manager designation, and is deeply proud of her daughter, Michelle, a physician, and her granddaughter, Brianna.
